Weekly mock testing is included in the price of our hourly on-on-one tutoring services. Why? Because studies show that students who prepare with practice tests are more likely to remember what they learned - even when they’re stressed during the actual test. This makes it not only a great way to solidify what was studied, but an excellent way to combat test anxiety. Bottom line: mock testing leads to better scores.
Our SHSAT classes combine the best parts of personalized education with the best parts of a group class. We match students of similar skill levels, creating small groups of six learners max., so students can have the individualized attention they need and learn from each other.
Different schools have different strengths. The key to scoring well on entrance exams like the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, and TACHS is evaluating what you (or your son or daughter) already know and identifying any knowledge gaps that could lead to poor performance. A diagnostic test provides this information and then one of our experienced tutors steps in to help you improve your scores in weak areas.

Every year, we have students who achieve a perfect 1600 SAT or 36 ACT, while others break a 1400 or a 32, scores they previously thought were impossible. Many of our students go up by as many as 300 points on the SAT or 5 points on the ACT from prior tests.
