Maia is a filmmaker and screenwriter from Brooklyn. She attended Saint Ann's School, where she was a peer tutor throughout high school. She graduated from Wesleyan University in 2017 with honors in both Theater and Film Studies (she was the only one in her class to write two theses), and a few bruises from being on the Sailing and Rugby teams. Since graduating she has tutored in New York City and Los Angeles, in subjects including Elementary Math, Algebra, Geometry, Essay Writing, English, History, French, and organizational tools. Maia's background as a writer and storyteller makes her a perfect person to explain difficult concepts in easy-to-understand language. She knows that each student learns differently, and creates the best environment for every individual, be it one-on-one or in a group. Maia has always loved learning for the sake of learning, and excels at helping students see the fun and intrigue in every subject. She will help make sure each student finds the joy in school, motivating them to be excellent students for years to come.

Maia is a comedian, and she has been published in McSweeney's Internet Tendency!
