Laura graduated Williams College, earning a B.A. in English and Art History & Studio Practice. As an undergraduate, she was a teaching assistant in the art department, and taught frequently at Hopkins Forest, leading children on ecology and history-themed field trips. Laura was also captain of the track & field team and an a capella singer. Based in New York City and Eastern Long Island, Laura loves encouraging students to explore their inquisitive and creative pursuits. She believes that an individualized approach is essential to success: with every student different, it’s critical to cater to the personalized needs and interests of every pupil. Laura specializes in elementary and middle school enrichment, curriculum building, and homework help. She utilizes creativity and enthusiasm to make learning fun and designs engaging sessions— including inventing games, creating graphics, or donning a silly hat (when it’s pertinent to the lesson plan). Laura enjoys watching and making films, going to museums, and trying to convince her three younger siblings that she’s cool.

Laura runs a weekly writing group for her friends and colleagues, and is organizing a mentorship program for students historically unrepresented in the arts.
