Isabelle grew up in New York City in a French/American family and did all her schooling at New York City schools, including the Lycée Français de New York, the Salk School of Science, and the specialized High School of American Studies at Lehman College. She holds two degrees from NYU, making Dean’s List all four years undergrad, then earning her M.A. in International Relations in 2019. Her graduate research centered around socio-historical and environmental issues in the global fashion industry. Navigating school and academics was a challenge for Isabelle, knowing first-hand the difficulties that learning disabilities can have on a student's patience, confidence and sense of control. She's a big believer in the powers that tutoring can have helping students overcome learning challenges with mindful, systematic approaches so they can advocate for themselves in their education. She is an ideal tutor for students needing extra support in the humanities, college-essay writing, AP history or the SHSAT. She is fluent in French and strong in Spanish, as she volunteers every week translating for immigrants confronting the U.S. legal system. Isabelle is passionate about current and international affairs, documentaries and cooking.
She is surprisingly accurate at lip-reading!
