Eury is a dancer, choreographer and dance educator. Born in the Dominican Republic, he moved to the U.S. at age 4, and was raised just outside of Boston. He excelled as a student in high school and became a highly sought-after tutor throughout his four year tenure. He subsequently graduated with honors from Wesleyan University, where he received his B.A in Biology and Dance in 2016. He furthered his dance education at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, earning an MFA in Dance Performance/Choreography and Pedagogy in 2018. He then joined Jennifer Muller/The Works as a company dancer and joined the staff and education team at a non-profit dance school, Dance Project of Washington Heights. Concurrently, he continues to work as a tutor in NYC specializing in various subjects including Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and Spanish, as well as helping students prepare for the SSAT, ISEE, ACT, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests. His unique experience and educational interests have greatly influenced his teaching style. His holistic, interdisciplinary approach to education and learning integrates multiple lenses of research and investigative perspectives. He aids his students with their specific challenges, and provides tools and techniques that deepen their understanding of all areas of study. Eury reinvigorates their enjoyment of learning.
While in utero, during ultrasounds, Eury's legs were always crossed, so his parents didn't discover the sex of their baby until he was born.
