Portia Lundie is a writer, filmmaker and graphic designer. Born and raised in New York City, she attended the Hewitt School where she started peer tutoring in 7th grade. She graduated with honors from Wesleyan University in 2014, majoring in Psychology and Classics. After graduation, she taught English in Spain before working as a counselor for the nonprofit Henry Street Settlement, where she tutored 9th and 10th grade students in all subjects, including prepping for the Regents and the SATs. Her extensive background in cognitive development makes her an expert at overcoming difficulties in the STEM subjects. Her in-depth knowledge of neuroscience and psychology allows her to frame teaching science around its practical use in physicality. This makes her teaching style both expanding and dynamic. She also teaches her students how to study smart, providing self-disciplinary tools that will aid them in their education for years to come.
