Nora Solomon

Nora will enter her 6th year of teaching this fall, continuing as a first grade special education teacher at a progressive charter school in the Bronx. After graduating from Bank Street College of Education with a masters of science in general/special childhood education, she started her career in a progressive pre-school that focuses on the whole child, providing fundamental skills to help kids be successful socially and in school. She also taught third and fourth graders with communication-based disorders at an independent private school. She now begins her 5th year of helping individual elementary and middle school students with Ivy Tutors. Nora has lived her entire life in New York City. She loves all it has to offer, particularly the theater and music!
