Matthew Hershoff

Matthew recently graduated the Creative Writing program at Columbia University cum laude and lives in Brooklyn. He studied neuroscience at Duke University for a year before transferring to Columbia. In high school, he took 15 AP courses, 2 college courses, and was high school valedictorian with a 6.8 weighted GPA and 4.0 unweighted. In standardized testing, he got a 1530 on the SAT, a 35 on the ACT and almost all 5s in AP testing. As a result, from the time he got into high school, other parents sought him out to tutor their children. Thus, he has extensive experience tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects including all core subjects and test prep (SAT/ACT). “As a tutor, I am patient, kind, and understanding and enjoy going the extra mile to make sure that my students acquire deep understandings of the subjects they need help with.”
