George Jiang

George is a sophomore at Columbia University majoring in Computer Science and Physics with a concentration in Business. An active board member of the Undergraduate Committee in Global Thought, he helped bring world leaders to campus. He is also fundraising chair for Engineers Without Borders, raising over $10K this year to build a sustainable water distribution system in Ghana. Before Columbia, George graduated from Millburn High School. He was a National Merit Scholarship winner, an AP National Scholar, having taken 17 AP courses, and scored in the 99th percentile on both his SAT I and SAT II subject exams. For the past two years, George has tutored students of all ages and levels in various academic subjects from AP Physics C to elementary level math and grammar. He has tutored SAT Reading and Math test prep. His enthusiasm for tutoring started as a volunteer swim coach. Now, as a tutor and coach, George helps students achieve their goals in the classroom and the pool everyday!
