Fiona McKenna

Born and raised in Chicago, Fiona grew up with two priorities: education and sports. Education came first, as she attended one of the top public high schools in the state, excelling in all subjects. Math and Spanish were her favorites from K to 12th grade. Since age 10, her dream was to play soccer and ice hockey in the Ivy League. This dream was achieved when Princeton recruited her as a student athlete. Fiona graduated from Princeton in 2017 with a degree in History and moved to New York City to begin teaching 1st grade in Brooklyn with Teach for America Corp. She is New York State certified in elementary education and coaches youth hockey as well. She loves to teach and help students achieve their dreams both in and out of the classroom. Fiona’s history background in college forms the foundation for her tutoring US History, World History, European History, AP Literature, and AP Language and Composition. She is adept in Math grades K to 8, ACT tutoring, college essay writing, and Spanish grades K to 12. Fiona loves to read, write, and play sports.
