Melissa graduated as Salutatorian of her high school class in Long Island. She was also an Intel Talent Search Semifinalist for her scientific research on the diets of lemon sharks in the Bahamas. She graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in History and a certificate in Values and Public Life, a program that combined politics and philosophy courses. Melissa is in her second year at Columbia Law School. She enjoys going to comedy shows and Yankees games.
